Just got the pics from my daughter's wedding... wishing there were better shots of the centerpieces.... This wedding was definitely a labor of love.  It was DIY to the extreme.  Usually I stick to the floral pieces, but this time went a little above and beyond, but then it was MY daughter after all.  For this winter fantasy wedding I made 3 different centerpiece styles, wove the willow backdrop for the cake, wove the willow backdrop for the recieving line, cut down the willow for these and the curly willow for the arrangements and floor decorations, gathered the trees and branches and mounted them, sewed 100 chair covers, gathered hundreds of pine cones, made the custom cake topper, and decorated the hall (including the fabric draping on the ceiling and walls).  Whew... no wonder it took me 3 months to update the blog.  =) What a wonderful wedding it was, and in the true spirit of DIY, many of these decorations have been used at 4 different weddings since December and are goin
